Hey everyone it's that time again. In this issue we have enclosed some thank you notes from our soldiers in Afghanistan who have received some of the military care packages we sent out using items you donated. These letters are a reflection of how even the smallest display of generosity can have such a monumental affect on someone so far from home. I hope you enjoy them as I have. Midweek Canoe and Kayak Package
Book a room for 2 nights at Eastern Inns from Sunday to Thursday and go canoeing for a day from Monday to Friday for free! Packages include 2 night’s lodging at Eastern Inns with use of all of our amenities, your canoe or kayak, round trip shuttle to the river from Saco Bound, and insurance. As a bonus we will also be sending you off with your own cooler and bottles of water for everyone in your party! Packages are divided up as follows:

1 person: 1 king room for 1 night and 1 kayak for $109.55, tax included.
2 people: 1 king room for 1 night and 1 canoe for $154.15, tax included.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Be sure to check out the Chamber of Commerce Calendar of Events the next time you’re in town. In July there is the annual 4th of July celebration in Schuler Park, preceded by a parade featuring local participants. This celebration begins at 4pm with live musical entertainment, and ends with a Spectacular fireworks display. And, since Eastern Inns is located less than half a mile from Schuler Park, guests of Eastern Inns can walk to the festivities and avoid the traffic.
In August, mountain bikers from all over the North East will join in the annual “24 Hours of Great Glen”, a 24 hour mountain bike race that will be held on the weekend of the 13th, 14th,and 15th in Glen, NH.
Great musical performances can be found a short distance away at the Stone Mountain Arts Center. Featured artists this summer include Bela Fleck, Rustic Overtones, and our very own Heather Masse, to name only a few.
